The fight against COVID-19 is a story that is shared across the world, and many countries have chosen to tell this story and communicate preventive practices using postage stamps.

COVID-19 Solidarity, by Swiss Post
As a fund raiser campaign, Swiss Post launched its COVID-19 Solidarity semi-postal stamp on 6th April, 2020. A sheet of 10 stamps, each with a face value of 1 franc, have been sold for 50 francs. Swiss Post has borne the cost of the face value.
The stamp was designed by Nulleins Kommunikationsdesign in a very short duration, while the design team was working from home. The stamps were printed by Royal Joh. Enschedé

The COVID-19 Solidarity stamp has helped Swiss Post to donate around 1.25 million francs to people in need in just a month.
Swiss Post customers showed tremendous solidarity: by the end of 2020, proceeds of 2.8 million francs had been generated. 560,000 stamps made their way across Switzerland on envelopes, highlighting the spirit of togetherness from Geneva to St. Gallen and from Chiasso to Basel.

New Zealand Bear Hunt Stamps, by NZPost
New Zealand Post has issued a set of 6 bear hunt stamps in partnership with NZ Bear Hunt and NZ Red Cross. The stamps celebrate the enthusiastic participation of New Zealanders during lockdown.
Through the simple act of putting a teddy bear in the window of their homes or other creative locations, New Zealanders were able to show support for their local communities, and have a bit of fun along the way, during a stressful time.

Austria Post has issued a witty postage stamp conveying the importance of physical distancing. The stamp is printed on three-ply toilet paper, symbolizing the panic buying of toilet papers, and a scale of measure to maintain appropriate physical distance recommended at the time of pandemic.

Flockdown - The Story of The Lockdown Birds, by Jersey Post
Jersey Post has issued eight self adhesive stamps featuring a collection 'lockdown birds' painted by Berni Martin during Jersey's Covid-19 lockdown of 2020.

With no cars on the roads and no people to disturb them, wildlife like the birds outside Berni’s window, became braver, and the birdsong became clearer and louder. Every day during Jersey’s lockdown, Berni Martin took out a box of paints gifted to her by a friend and spent a few minutes creating, sketching, and painting a colourful bird.She did this every day for 100 days, numbering each one as she went. The result is a collection of 100 wonderfully colourful birds, each with its own special character and each a symbol of hope and freedom, indicative of everyone’s ambition to remain optimistic throughout the pandemic.
